Colorful Colombian Door Abstract Painting

Salento, Colombia. Number 3 in the latin American watercolor series.   Salento, Colombia. In the Latin American watercolor series, this is inspired from the famously colorful doors of Salento, Colombia.  Although the original art piece doesn't have any text,  for the sake of science, I decided to experiment a little with lettering.  I played around with some basic graphic formats, ended up thinking that this looked more like a poster of some sort of travel advertisment and abandonned further exploration. Guatemala, Antigua- An interpretation of luscious Latin American colors.  Discovering ways to make the invisible visible has almost become an obsession -especially when I travel. It's always tempting to try to unveil the magic hidden in the world.  Some magical things, however, resist any sort of poking. Color washes in a lot of my watercolors illustrate this effect.
