For the second option in this series of graphic art, I went a little bolder with a serendipitous mix of bold, complementary hues. The result is a colorful red, white and blue, uplifting graphic about human potential and the concept of resilience.
Patriot Paints
This distressed painting feels really festive and upbeat. This surprised me a little bit considering the original tones of this acrylic artwork. The natural earth paint pigments I used, are turning out to be magical with amazing shades!
I realized belatedly - after 2 years, mind you - that this atmospheric painting, beyond existing as a beautiful example of visual art, would be perfect for patriotic occasions, stationery, posters or articles.
However, it also didn't escape me that at least 29 other countries -outside of the United States, proudly share red, white and blue as the main colors of their flags - including my native country, Haiti.
Summertime Hues
I'm most delighted that this illustration captures the entire feeling of summer in a bottle. In reality, all of this beauty is just a happy accident. It resulted from a lot of tinkering with filters.
