MORNING YOGA

The third treasure in the series, Fantastic Chalk, was discovered also at the Wedge Table, next to the other chalk art from this series.

This one appears to have been part of a diptych of sorts :

Atmospheric, expressive artwork, travel art, chalk art, illustration, visual art, fine art, timeless art, colorful, Patricia Jacques illustration, unitedwanderlust.com, Chalk board art, line art, colorful pastels, Advertising art, expressive artwork, graphic art, Hand-lettering.

Definitely more minimalist in rendering, with lots of delicious colors. I know that if I was into yoga, I would probably have signed up.

The two previous pieces in this series, are:

  • Fantastic Chalk #1 – Wild Rumpus and
  • Fantastic Chalk #2 – Peace Coffee.

It seems that at least at some level, I’m drawn to colorful and dramatic visual stories. In my own art, I’m definitely channeling these rich and deep contrasts in a handful of my collection. Such as in:

Patricia Jacques Illustration, food illustrator, editorial illustrator, watercolor, botanical illustration, botanical art, hire an illustrator, blog post illustrations, custom work, custom illustrations, artist commissions, Mexican art, Otomi art, Unitedwanderlust.com.
Otomi Dulce, a surface pattern design, inspired from otomi culture that started its life as an editorial illustration for a local non-profit.

Or in:

Patricia Jacques Illustration, united wanderlust, water-base mixed media, mythology, Ancient Gods, wall art, triptych, atmospheric, colorful.

Ancient Gods Series: How To Spot a God, which is a fun exploration of ancient civilization folklore, mixed in with a bit of X-file/ Earth files.

Or even in:

Science & biology, a colorful visual metaphor about interconnection between all things even from the macro to the meta levels.
Patricia Jacques illustration, europa, branching fractals, biomimicry, permaculture principles, colorful palette.

In Science & Biology, I played around with digital design software to illustrated the similarities between branching patterns in nature as part of a fascinating biomimetic course.

The result was this image demonstrating the dynamic dialog between the rivers of Europa and the tree branches of earth, against the blackness of space.

Public Announcement: This blog post is part of a collection of 354+ posts from my original Wordpress blog "Dreaming Into Being"  library. I've now retired and migrated it to “Wander & Paint,” my new blog post at the United Wanderlust art shop.  As time allows, about once a week, I will be reviewing, editing, condensing, updating and releasing a number of these blog posts.

Some posts do require more precision surgery than others. I'll also probably be publishing new posts as the muse wills it and father time allows. This whole process may take a while but I think these blog post serve as great documentation of my process and reminds me of certain milestones. So, most of them will be made available again- at some point.
