Each year, Valentine’s Day comes and goes and I've already shared one other example of cheery chalk art from one of my favorite small, stationery stores located just of the train stop at Harvard Square, in Cambridge, MA.

I want to share this second chalk art from Bob Slate.  It was positioned on the other side of the Valentine Hearts piece.

Bob Slate Valentine’s Day Penguin

If I do declare, the penguin, by far – is my favorite!

Let’s think about this for a minute… that penguin has been traveling on the coldest of seas, literally chilling on a cube of ice, just to hand me a valentine card. In my opinion, this genius and quirky concept alone merits a standing ovation.

In addition, since it was in the middle of February when I came across this after all, the concept actually makes perfect sense. Love it.

For more Fantastic Chalk discovery that's literally out of this world, check out "Coup De Coeur: Fantastic Chalk #6 - UFO Abducts Bagel," blog post. It's one of the most brilliant chalk art pieces I've ever come across at my all-time favorite grocery stores, Trader Joe's, during one of my grocery runs.

In the meantime, I dare you to tell me that this Valentine Penguin doesn’t bring an instant smile to your face!

Public Announcement:

This blog post is part of a collection of 354+ posts from my original Wordpress blog "Dreaming Into Being"  library. I've now retired and migrated it to “Wander & Paint,” my new blog post at the United Wanderlust art shop.  As time allows, I will be reviewing, editing, condensing, updating and releasing a number of these blog posts but not all of them.

Some posts require more precision surgery than others. I'll also probably be publishing new posts as the muse wills it and father time allows. This whole process may take a while but I think these blog post serve as great documentation of my process and reminds me of certain milestones. So, most of them will be made available again- at some point.
